Michelle: A Minnesota native, Michelle is the heart of Hoot-n-Annie. With over 18 years of experience working with school-aged kids in a variety of settings, including certification as a children’s personal trainer, Michelle offers friendly and genuinely enthusiastic customer service. Michelle is SUPER creative, too. In 2007 she began creating Fandangled Applique Children's Tees ... adorable and unique designs made from recycled children's clothing, applied to both new and used cotton t-shirts. Fandangled Tees are sold at Hoot-n-Annie and at www.Fandangled.Etsy.com. You'll find her at her sewing machine most days, surrounded by the bright and colorful fabrics that become the monsters and dogs and eyeballs and rockets that adorn her Fandangled tees.
Tracy: In charge of the 'business behind the business", you'll often find Tracy spending quality time with her true love: Excel spreadsheets. She is also the creator of our store logo and our fun, colorful mail (still hand-writing every address!)Born and raised in Portland, Hoot-n-Annie provides an opportunity to combine her love of business, community, and the Reduce-Reuse-Recycle philosophy. Ask her about why resale is so important ... just be sure you have some time to listen to the answer! Tracy is truly passionate about the environmental, financial, and social impacts of recycling children's clothing. She’s a gardener, quilter, and the creator of SleepyHead Pillowcases, luxuriously cozy flannel and satin pillowcases that no grown up or child should be without!
